National Portrait Gallery – Black History Month Activists

I was invited by The National Portrait Gallery to look at the pieces in their collections that feature activists, and to consider their continued relevance and contribution to modern society.

This piece was really special to me, I wasn’t aware of the range of sitters in the collection, and this was a great opportunity to dive into the history of Black British activism from a whole new perspective.

You can read the whole piece here.
